<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoacoustic engine capable of low-temperature driving compared with a conventional thermoacoustic engine including a loop tube and a resonance tube. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoacoustic engine 1 includes a heat storage device 21 including an annular loop tube 10 in which operation gas is sealed and a resonance tube 11 having one end connected in communication with the loop tube 10, and configured to heat or cool the operation gas, a heater 22 for heating one end (high temperature part 21b) of the heat storage device 21, and a cooler 23 for discharging the heat of the other end (normal temperature part 21a) of the heat storage device 21, and generates self-vibration of the operation gas by forming a temperature gradient between both ends of the heat storage device 21. The loop tube 10 includes an expanded tube part 15 larger in inner diameter than the other part of the loop tube 10. The expanded tube part 15 is disposed so that the tip of the expanded tube part 15 on the cooler 23 side is located in a part 1/4 of a length from the tip on a side opposite the heat storage device 21 in the cooler 23 in the tube path direction of the loop tube 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
