<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more certainly detect a defect, such as an internal crack which does not have an opening on a surface. <P>SOLUTION: As inspecting a defect in a specimen, an eddy current is generated to the specimen by providing an alternating current magnetic field, changing a frequency.
