<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluating device and an evaluating method that enable damages arising in boilers to be assessed. <P>SOLUTION: A test piece S is housed within a test furnace 5, the inside of the test furnace 5 is heated to approximately the same temperature as that of a real furnace, the same fluid as what flows in a real furnace is preheated and fed by fluid feeding means 3 into the test furnace 5, vaporized molten salt is generated and fed by molten salt feeding means 4, and the vaporized molten salt is cooled by the test piece S, which has been cooled by test piece cooling means 56, and caused to adhere to the test piece S; therefore, the fluid collides against and inflicts damages on the test piece S, and at the same time the molten salt adheres to the test piece S to cause the test piece S to suffer corrosion, with the result that wear and corrosive damages arising in the boiler can be assessed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
