The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing sandwich elements with an integrated seal. Said device comprises a mechanism for feeding at least one lower (16) or one upper cover layer (14), a mechanism for feeding a material for an intermediate layer, a mechanism (20) for applying the material for the intermediate layer to the lower or upper cover layer and a continuously operating dual band device (22) having an upper and a lower band for maintaining the shape of the combination of at least one lower or upper cover layer and the applied material for the intermediate layer. The invention also relates to a mechanism (40) for continuously or discontinuously applying, to the surface, a sealing material made from a reactive material mixture.
