<p>A preparation of antibiotic G418 with low cell toxicity and high purity, and methods of preparing such a preparation, are provided. More specifically, an isolated antibiotic G418 with a purity of greater than 95% and no individual group of gentamicin impurities exceeding 3%, as measured by HPLC, is described. Uses of this high purity antibiotic G418 include, for example, for in vitro cell selection.</p> |
