<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound controller capable of proactively preventing output of reproduction sound in unexpectedly large volume or applying overload on speakers, with which a user can easily know the time when a process of transforming output sounds has been performed. <P>SOLUTION: A sound controller for controlling output of reproduction sound based on sound source data has a sound source integrated circuit. The sound source integrated circuit includes: a compression function for executing a restriction processing that instructs the sound based on the sound source data to be reproduced in a volume below the prescribed level when the input level of the sound source data overruns the threshold value; and an information outputting function for outputting operation information of the compression function when the compression function starts operation.
