<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an artificial marble that can create the texture of a natural stone with flowing patterns. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an artificial marble with flowing patterns includes: a step of forming a rod-like pattern material by volatilizing a methyl methacrylate monomer after shaping a methyl methacrylate syrup obtained by dissolving a methyl methacrylate polymer in a methyl methacrylate monomer into a rod-like shape; a step of preparing a resin mixture by mixing the pattern material and an acrylic resin composition containing a methyl methacrylate polymer, a methyl methacrylate monomer, and a crosslinking agent and having a specific gravity different from that of the pattern member; a step of casting the resin mixture into a mold; and a step of curing and molding the acrylic resin composition casted in the mold while the surface thereof where the flowing patterns are formed in the cavity is inclined or becomes parallel to the vertical direction thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
