<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an end user to easily recognize greater amount of information during a sequential operations in a remote control apparatus for setting a plurality of setting items by remote control, while simplifying a sequence of operations from selecting operation to changing operation for setting. <P>SOLUTION: When the values of other setting items displayed in right and left displays for selecting next available items are selected by right and left switches 23, 24, setting values selected before the selection operation are moved to be displayed at the display for the next available selection items in the opposite side.
