<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding member for an annular body incorporated with an annular body for gas-pressure welding, which provides the position of a gas releasing portion upwards securely to perform setting work of the annular body very simply and safely, can sell as a new product incorporated with the annular body, and can remove the circumferential surface of synthetic resin-made holding container without burning. <P>SOLUTION: The holding member for an annular body includes an annular body 1 which is formed of almost the same shape and the same material as a joining metal end surface and has a gas releasing portion 11; a synthetic resin-made holding container 2 which at least has a projection portion 22 having a space for installing the annular body S where the annular body 1 is incorporated on the bottom surface 21 side and a convex portion 23 to be connected to the same; and a synthetic resin-made cover 3 which attaches the space for installing the annular body S of the holding container 2 such as is done with a bottle cap and stops the rotation of the gas releasing portion 11 of the annular body 1.
