PURPOSE: A FT-ICR(Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance) mass spectrometer and ion concentration method for a FT-ICR mass analysis are provided to control a spread caused by masses of ions and to enlarge an area where a mass measurement at one go is possible by concentrating the ions. CONSTITUTION: A FT-ICR(Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance) mass spectrometer and ion concentration method for a FT-ICR mass comprises an ionization source, a deceleration lens(7), and an ICR cell(8). The ionization source generates ions. The ions are diffused in a space and incident to the deceleration lens. The deceleration lens selectively decelerates the ions so that a distance between the ions is decreased. The ions have passed through the deceleration lens are incident into the ICR cell.
