PURPOSE: An electronic apparatus, a method of authentication, and a computer readable recording medium are provided to improve security of an electric device by preventing unauthorized use. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device performing the authentication process comprises a manipulation unit(2), an authentication unit(51), a decision unit, and a response change unit(53). The manipulation unit receives the input of the authentication information of the certification subject. The authentication unit compares the registered authentication information with the inputted authentication information. The authentication unit executes the authentication judgment processing to determine whether or not the authentication information registered is identical with the inputted authentication information. The decision unit determines the inconsistency of the authentication information. The response change unit extends the response time of the electric device.
