[Also in Division B5] A bag is formed of a flexible tube 1 (Fig. 1) with at least one outwardly directed annular rim 2, 3 to which a flexible end wall 6, of greater area than the cross-section of the tube 1, is secured. One wall may include a valve formed by a slit 8 covered by a sheet 9 secured round three of its edges xy, yz, zw. As shown the valve extends beyond the adjacent side wall of the bag to provide portions which may be folded to form a closure. The valved end may, however, terminate at the end of the rim 3, and the flap 9 may be applied on the inside, instead of on the outside, of the end wall. |
