A load current monitoring device which easily stores actual load current as a setting target current value and displays and monitors a change rate with an instantaneous load current value is provided. The device is provided with a setting circuit (13) having a set key which is operated when load current detected by a current detecting circuit (12) is to be set as the setting target current value, a storage circuit (11) storing load current detected by the current detecting circuit (12) based on an operation of the set key as the setting target current value, a logical operation circuit (10) comparing the setting target current value stored in the storage circuit (11) with the instantaneous load current value detected by the current detecting circuit (12) and outputting the change rate of the instantaneous load current value with respect to the setting target current value and a display circuit (15) displaying the change rate by the logical operation circuit (10).
