<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that at least 4 models of reduction gears are necessary when reduction gears of the same size are used to produce reduction gears applied to a hollow or solid output shaft because conventional reduction gears having a hollow and solid output shaft are individually provided with supporting bearings or fitted gears as independent parts, and in particular, the reduction gears with the solid shaft have the output shafts protruding to the right side or the left side, or right and left sides output. <P>SOLUTION: The reduction gear comprises a hollow shaft, which includes a gear in periphery, and is rotatably supported within a gear casing, and a solid shaft adapter fitted in the hollow shaft with a whirl stop.
