PURPOSE: A surgical instrument is provided to be used even under magnetic resonance by enabling the surgical instrument to drive an end effector using a piezoelectric actuator. CONSTITUTION: A surgical instrument comprises an end effector, a power transfer unit(120), a housing(130), and a piezoelectric actuator(140). The end effector directly touches a surgical part. The power transfer unit transfers power from the piezoelectric actuator to the end effector. The housing surrounds the power transfer unit. The piezoelectric actuator is received in the housing and generates mechanical power using the inverse-piezoelectric effect of a piezoelectric element.
