A method and human-to-machine interface apparatus for searching files are provided. The method is adapted for an electronic device and includes the following steps. First, a label or a plurality of labels is established according to a folder or a plurality of folders on a current file directory of each file. Next, a label list and all files are displayed on a displayer of the electronic device, where the label list includes all labels and a sum of all files corresponding to each label. Then, a label is selected by receiving a label select command. Further, according to the selected label, all files corresponding to the selected label and an updated label list are displayed, where the updated label list includes the labels of all displayed files and a sum of all files corresponding to each label. |
