PURPOSE: A block for a retaining wall having a front plate is provided to maintain durability and strength by securely coupling an insertion unit of a front plate to a side plate of a block body. CONSTITUTION: A block for a retaining wall having a front plate is composed as follows. Fastening grooves(1u) are vertically formed on the inner surfaces of left and right side plates of a block body(1). Fastening grooves(2n) corresponding to the fastening grooves of the block body are formed on left and right ends(2s) of an insertion unit(2b) of a front plate(2) in which a decoration plate(2a) is loaded. The insertion unit of the front plate is inserted into the opening of the block body through the fastening grooves.
