PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling device capable of raising rod-shaped articles in a filling hopper adjacent to each other, and filling them in a container or the like in an raised state irrespective of the length or the filling amount of the rod-shaped article. SOLUTION: A filling hopper 21 has a short cylindrical body portion 33 for receiving the rod-shaped articles discharged from a chute 17 which allows a plurality of the rod-shaped articles to slide and discharge them from an outlet, and a gate 22 for opening/closing a lower side opening portion of the body portion 33. A driving motor 32 vibrates the filling hopper 21 so that the rod-shaped articles 1 fed in the filling hopper 21 are raised adjacent to each other. A chute 17 align the sliding rod-shaped articles to be parallel to the sliding-down direction, and a guide member 64 parallel to the sliding-down direction is provided therein.
