PURPOSE: A heat exchange apparatus having an auxiliary tank is provided to improve heat efficiency by smoothly circulating water because internal pressure added to a heat exchange pipe is reduce by an auxiliary tank having an extended space. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchange apparatus(1) having an auxiliary tank comprises a heat exchange tank(5), a heat exchange pipe(6), an auxiliary tank(7), a hot water inflow pipe(8), a hot water discharge pipe(9), and a circulating pump(10). The heat exchange tank delivers heated circulating water to a heat storage tank(2) through a circulating water recovery pipe(4). The heat exchange pipe is arranged inside the heat exchange tank into a zigzag shape. The water flowing along the heat exchange pipe is heated by heat-exchanging with the heated circulating water in the heat storage tank. The auxiliary tank having a constant volume is fixed on the top of the heat exchange tank. The hot water inflow pipe is connected to the upper part of the auxiliary tank. The lower end of the heat exchange pipe is connected to the hot water discharge pipe installed in the lower part of the heat exchange tank. The circulating pump is connected to the hot water discharge pipe. The water in the auxiliary tank is heated by passing through the heat exchange pipe and is supplied through the hot water discharge pipe as hot water for heating or hot water supply.
