Biomarker for Diagnosing Cervical Cancer Containing CpG island of Cervical Cancer Specific Methylation Gene

PURPOSE: A biomarker containing methylated CpG island is provided to enable early diagnosis of cervical cancer and to predict high risk group. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker for diagnosing cervical cancer or cervical cancer progression contains a base sequence(NT_005612.16) at +7000 to +7,500 nt from a transcription start point of SOX14 gene in 3th chromosome; or methylated CpG island of DBXI(NM_001029865)- brain development homeo box gene. A site containing CpG island is denoted by sequence number 1 or 2. A method for detecting methylation of the biomarker comprises: a step of isolating DNA from a clinical sample; and a step of detecting the methylation of the base sequence(NT_005612.16) or homeo box gene CpG island.
