<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner and a filter cleaning method for a filter are provided to locate the position of a cleaning robot according to detected position through detecting the position of a cleaning robot by using a sensor. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a cleaning robot(151), a cleaning robot position sensor(141), a timer, and a control unit. The cleaning robot cleans through moving on a filter installed in an inlet hole. The cleaning robot position sensor detects the position of the cleaning robot position sensor. The timer measures the moving time of the cleaning robot from a reference position. The control unit controls the cleaning robot to clean a filter from a reference position corresponding to the detected position signal of the cleaning robot position sensor and changes the moving direction of the cleaning robot in case of the measured moving time reaches to set reference time.</p> |
