PURPOSE: A light guide plate for a backlight unit is provided to make brightness uniform and enough to the entire. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(1) comprises a pattern unit on one side(30) to scatter light generated from a light source. The pattern unit comprises a unit pattern(10) and a pattern group(20). The unit pattern is engraved by laser machining. The pattern group is formed by two or more unit patterns. The unit pattern constituting each pattern group comprises an overlap portion. The overlap portion is overlapped with the different unit pattern which is adjacent in the pattern group.
