PURPOSE: A Simplicillium lamellicola KRICT3 strain is provided to ensure excellent antibacterial performance against various plant diseases and to enhance crop productivity. CONSTITUTION: A Simplicillium lamellicola KRICT3 strain(KCTC 11765) has antibacterial performance against plant diseases. A composition for preventing plant diseases contains the strain, culture liquid thereof, or culture extract as an active ingredient. The plant diseases include rice blast disease, rice sheath blight, tomato late blight, phytophothora blight, cucumber gray mold, tomato gray mold, leaf blight, or powdery mildew. The plant diseases are caused by Alternaria alternate, Cochliobolus heterostrophus, Magnaporthe oryzae, Botrytis cinerea, Botrytis allii, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Colletotrichum orbiculare, Phytophthora capsici, Phytophthora infestans, Fusarium oxysporum, Pythium ultimum, Pythium graminicola, and Rhizoctonia solani AG1.
