A new light fixture is constructed by using the reflector (4, fig 2) from an existing lamp, (fig 2) which may be a high intensity discharge HID lamp. A light source formed from multiple LEDs 14 mounted on a circuit board 24 is connected to a heat-transfer-plate 22. The light source is positioned and attached to the anterior or open end of the reflector 4 so that the reflector 4 is in thermal contact with the circuit-board24 /heat transfer plate 22 assembly. |
