An air cleaner is provided to have a filter sensing switch firmly fixed to a front frame through a switch fixing protrusion so that the existence of a filter apparatus is discriminated. A filter sensing switch(190) is closely supported by a switch fixing protrusion(250). The filter sensing switch is inserted into a switch guide(192) by the interference fit method and then when the front frame and an orifice(200) are combined with each other, the front of the switch fixing protrusion is contacted with the rear of the filter sensing switch. Although a filter apparatus is mounted to a filter seating member of a front frame(120), the filter sensing switch is not separated from the switch guide.
