PURPOSE: A route calculation apparatus using multiple servers and method thereof are provided to calculate routes through other server by constructing plural route calculation servers. CONSTITUTION: A routing listener unit(210) collects traffic engineering information and topology information. A route calculation engine unit(240) calculates routes according to a restricted condition. A monitoring unit(250) transfers a route calculation request to a monitoring unit(270) of other route calculation server when one or more monitoring units sense errors in the routing listener unit or the route calculation unit. The monitoring unit allocates the route calculation request to the route calculation engine unit.
