PURPOSE: A clutch for an automatic transmission is provided to eliminate the need for a separate connecting member for fixing an elastic member by the installing of an elastic member between hydraulic parts. CONSTITUTION: A clutch for an automatic transmission comprises a retainer(52), a piston(54) and an elastic member(60). The retainer is installed on the input shaft of a transmission. The piston is slidably installed on the input shaft. The piston forms a pressure chamber along with the retainer and transfers the power if an oil pressure is supplied to the pressure chamber. The elastic member is installed in the retainer and the piston. The piston comprises a groove(70) into which the elastic member is inserted.
