PURPOSE: An SIP-based VOIP service protection system and a method thereof are provided to set a conversation cryptographic encryption content protocol between a sending terminal and receiving terminal while mutually calling. CONSTITUTION: A sending terminal(110) transmits an invite message including a master key for encryption and media traffic authentication and a connection request signal for connecting with a receiving terminal. An SIP proxy server(120) is included between the sending terminal and the receiving terminal. The SIP proxy server transmits the invite message which is transceived from the sending terminal to the receiving terminal. The SIP proxy server attempts a mutual call connection between the sending terminal and the receiving terminal.
