PURPOSE: An AP(Access Point) for allocating group ID(Identity) and group ID allocation method thereof are provided to distinguish a terminal which receives data from an AP from terminals which locate in the coverage of the AP by using an overloading method. CONSTITUTION: A terminal group creation unit(610) creates one or more terminal groups. Plural terminals which locate within the coverage of an AP are sequentially sorted in one or more terminal groups. A group ID allocation unit(630) allocates group ID with the terminals according to calculated conditional probability. The group ID allocation unit allocates a group ID set corresponding to the majority of the terminal groups to the terminals.
