<p>Aluminium pigment particles are rendered electrically non-conductive by providing thereon a coating containing the reaction product of an aluminium oxide and a fluorosilicate. The particles may be oxidized in aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution at room temperature and the oxide coating then reacted with sodium fluorosilicate solution to produce the insulating coating.</p> |
