The method for preventing the generation of early postoperative retroaural hematoma following faceplasty comprises applying two retroaural ligatures through all the dermal layers fixed to the superficial SMAS fascia. Prior to tightening, the roll of sterile material 5x3 cm and in thickness is placed under the ligatures. Following the facial bandaging, the roll of sterile material presses the skin against SMAS.
