PURPOSE: A steering wheel leveler automation device and a method are provided to reduce the measuring error due to the difference of the fixing position of a rubber packing through setting the zero and fixing processes after adhering only a steering wheel portion. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel leveler automation device comprises a machine vision(21), a motor cylinder(22), a servo motor(30), a robot, and a process PC. The machine vision set the attaching position of the stroke of a motor cylinder and a gripper(25) by filming a steering wheel. One end of the motor cylinder is coupled with the gripper. The motor cylinder fixes a steering wheel by using a gripper. The servo motor compensates the zero of steering wheel through rotating the steering wheel fixed by the gripper. The robot locates the axes of a steering wheel and the servo motor in the same line. The process PC controls the machine vision, servo motor, and robot.
