PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to vertically align liquid crystals and optimize a panel without an alignment film, thereby realizing a high contrast and high brightness. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal is formed between an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The liquid crystal is driven in an IPS(In Plane Switching) mode. Dendrimer is added to the liquid crystal. An ITO electrode(5) is installed on the lower substrate. The concentration of dendrimer increases on a substrate interface if a voltage is applied. Dendrimer functions as an alignment film. |
