PURPOSE: A melting furnace is provided to protect heater from a fume which is generated from melting process by exhuasting fume to outside with air. CONSTITUTION: A melting furnace comprises a main body(110), a heater, and an air preheater(130). The main body is protected by a refractory(111) and comprises a heating chamber(112), a supply passage(113), and discharge passage(114). Air is provided through the supply passage from outside to upper part of the heating chamber. Air is exhausted through the exhaust passage from lower part of the heating chamber to outside. The heater is inserted into the heating chamber and vents heat for melting. The air preheater receives heat from the heating chamber and is connected to the supply passage. The air preheater heats and provides air which is provided from an air supply unit to inside to the air supply passage.
