At that the device of textile products treatment contains a compartment intended for keeping the treated textile products, and at least one device for feeding additive, in particular, a steam. The method includes the steps, at which: the additive is supplied from at least one device for feeding additive, the response (S, A, C) of textile products in the compartment is determined as reaction to feeding supply, and by processing a specific response at least one parameter of textile goods is determined. The parameter of textile products is a type of textile products and/or the number of textile products.
