One or more stationary magnets are mounted to a vertical frame and which, in the case of a single magnet, defines an arc of a circle and in the case of two or more magnets, combine to define an arc of a circle. An arm is mounted to a spindle and rotates about a circular path The arm carries a revolving magnet which remains juxtaposed with the stationary magnet during a portion of the arm's path. The revolving magnet is positioned to repel the stationary magnet and is spaced apart from it such that the force of repulsion between the stationary and revolving magnets diminishes as the height of the revolving magnet increases. The energy of the spindle as it rotates is harnessed to provide electrical or kinetic energy.
