FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: individual's blood is examined for the concentration of -fetoprotein (AFP) and the T lymphocyte count with a transferring receptor (CD71 +). The derived data are used to calculate a prognostic index (PI) resulted from the relation of the AFP concentration in IU/l to absolute lymphocyte count CD71+B cell/l (PI=AFP/CD71).
