Accelerated cooling apparatus and flow control method of the same

PURPOSE: An accelerated cooling apparatus and a flow control method thereof are provided to minimize the difference between the actual masking time and a set masking time by referring the response time of a flow valve to adjust masking time. CONSTITUTION: An accelerated cooling apparatus comprises a masking time calculating unit(36) and a switching unit(35). The masking time calculating unit adjusts a masking operation by referring the response time of a flow valve(23) that is obtain in advance and stored. The switching unit controls flow with an open loop control method when a masking operation is activated and with a closed loop control method when the masking operation is inactivated. The masking time calculating unit calculates a making time with the following equation, masking time = set masking length - (steel plate conveying speed X flow valve response time).
