PURPOSE: An automatic overlay welding apparatus for a ball valve is provided to implement machining over the whole surface of a ball valve by driving an arm rotating shaft to transfer the welding point of a welding machine one pitch for every one rotation of the ball valve. CONSTITUTION: An automatic overlay welding apparatus for a ball valve comprises a mount(10), a U-shaped arm(30), a ball valve rotating shaft(300), a fixing chuck, a first servo motor(200), a second servo motor(310), a welding machine, and a controller. The U-shaped arm couples a central axis to an arm rotating shaft(20) formed in the mount. The ball valve rotating shaft is formed on both ends of the U-shaped arm. The fixing chuck is coupled to the ball valve rotating shaft and fixes a ball valve(40), base metal for welding. The first servo motor rotates the arm rotating shaft. The second servo motor rotates the ball valve rotating shaft. The welding machine implements welding on the ball valve using a torch which contacts an upper one point of the ball valve fixed by the fixing chuck. The controller controls the first servo motor, the second servo motor, and the welding machine. |
