UPDATING AND UTILIZING DYNAMIC PROCESS SIMULATION IN AN OPERATING PROCESS ENVIRONMENT

The system has several simulation blocks with a simulation unit that simulates operation process plant using process model to produces a simulated output for a process variable indicating fluid flow, temperature or pressure, associated with portion of process plant. An input accepts an indication of actual value of process variable corresponding to simulated output. A model regeneration unit compares indication of actual value with simulated output to develop an updated process model for use by simulation routine. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) system for simulating operation of process plant; and (2) method for simulating operation process plant.
