<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for electronic book feature providing an individual effect to a portable terminal device and a method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: A device has a control part for loading an electronic book file; and scrap (clipping) processing part for applying a specific effect on a partial region of texts of the loaded electronic book.
