<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of achieving increased size and performing fine patterning with high definition without deteriorating the characteristics of a thin film such as an organic EL material. <P>SOLUTION: A device includes a substrate, insulation layers formed on the substrate, and a thin film layer formed at least between the insulation layers. The thin film layer is formed by transcription. A relation A+4(μm)≤E(μm)≤P-10(μm) is satisfied where the opening width between the adjacent insulation layers is A, the width of the thin film layer in a region corresponding to the opening is E, and the pitch of the insulation layers is P.
