<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out detection with higher accuracy in a toner residual amount detection while sequentially carrying out the toner residual amount detection regarding a developer residual amount detection device in a developer container 33 storing dry type powder developer T used for developing a latent image formed on an image carrier 40. <P>SOLUTION: The developer residual amount detection device includes: first and second electrode members 1, 2 arranged inside a container 33; a common electrode member 30 composing a capacitor having a first electrostatic capacity by forming a pair with the first electrode member and composing a capacitor having a second electrostatic capacity by forming a pair with the second electrode member 2; first and second electrostatic capacity detection means 81, 82 for detecting the first and second electrostatic capacities; and control means 83. The first electrode member 1 is arranged in a position where the closest approach distance with the common electrode member 30 is in a position closer than from the second electrode member 2. The control means 83 detects the developer residual amount in the container 33 from a corrected result which is the detection result of the first electrostatic capacity detection means 81 corrected based on the detection result of the second electrostatic capacity detection means 82. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
