<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring the external diameter of a cylindrical object to be measured with high accuracy without performing center alignment. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a first measurement step (S2) in which displacement in the radial direction of a reference cylindrical object to be measured, radius of which is known is measured by a first, a second and a third displacement sensors respectively; a first storage step (S3) in which measured values measured in the first measurement step are stored as a first, a second and a third measured values respectively; a second measurement step (S4) in which displacement in the radial direction of a cylindrical object to be measured, radius of which is unknown is measured by the first, the second and the third displacement sensors respectively; and a calculation step (S6) in which the radius of the cylindrical object to be measured is calculated based on the first, the second and the third measured values stored in the first storage step (S3), a forth, a fifth and a sixth measured values, and the radius of the reference cylindrical object to be measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
