<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste crushing and sorting apparatus, capable of treating waste wide in shape holdability or size and capable of preventing the entanglement of the waste with rotary blades or the clogging of the waste between the rotary blades and the inner wall surface of a casing. <P>SOLUTION: The waste crushing and sorting apparatus includes an oblong casing 1 having a waste charging port 2 and a treated waste discharge port 4 respectively provided to one end part and other end part thereof and equipped with a mechanism, which discharges the separated matter from the waste, at the lower part thereof, the rotary shaft 20 supported in the casing 1 in a rotatable manner, a plurality of the rotary blades 21 attached to the periphery of the rotary shaft 20 and arranged in a twisted state so as to advance the charged waste toward the discharge port 4 and the screen 13 arranged to the lower part in the casing 1 so as to partially surround the rotary route of the rotary blades 21.
