<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information providing device capable of properly and rapidly providing information for a user to determine which program to view or record. <P>SOLUTION: A program information providing device 10 comprises: a program information acquisition unit 200 for acquiring program information PI from broadcast signals; a related information retrieval unit 300 for selecting retrieval terms from the acquired program information PI of broadcast programs to retrieve program related information PRI concerning the broadcast programs on the Internet by using the retrieval terms as retrieval keys; an information storage unit 500 for storing the program information PI of the broadcast programs and the program related information PRI concerning the broadcast programs; and an information display control unit 600 for outputting the program related information PRI acquired by retrieval performed by the related information retrieval unit 300 as provided information.
