This disposable diaper (1) has: a vertically long absorbent main body (5) comprising a front surface sheet (2), a rear surface sheet (3), and an absorber (4) arranged so as to be interposed between the two sheets; and a pair of stretch panels (6) affixed to bilateral edge parts along the lengthwise direction of the main body of the absorbent main body, an attachment part (71) of fastening tape being affixed to an outer edge part of the stretch panels (6). The stretch panels (6) have an stretch part (6B) closer inward in the width direction (Y) of the main body than an outer edge part (6A). An adhesive bonding part where constituent members of the stretch panels (6) are bonded together by an adhesive is not present in the region that includes the outer edge part (6A) and that is located farther outward in the width direction (Y) of the main body than the stretch part (6B) of the stretch panel (6). An inner end (73t) of a tape base end part (73) is positioned farther outward in the lengthwise direction (X) of the main body than an elastic member (62t) which, as part of a plurality of elastic members (62), is arranged innermost in the lengthwise direction (X) of the main body.
