CARBON-CERAMIC BRAKE DISK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

<p>A method for manufacturing a carbon-ceramic brake disk of the present method comprises: a first step of coating a polyacylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fiber (Cf-pan) with phenolic resin; a second step of carbonizing the Cf-pan coated with the phenolic resin at a first temperature; a third step of preparing a mixture by mixing the Cf-pan which is carbonized at the first temperature with the phenolic resin; a fourth step of manufacturing a molded body by pouring the mixture into a mold and pressing; a fifth step of carbonizing the molded body at a second temperature that is lower than or equal to the first temperature; a sixth step of machine-processing the carbonized molded body; a seventh step of melting silicon and permeating same into the machine-processed molded body; and an eighth step of polishing the molded body which is permeated with silicon. When using the present invention, the Cf-pan can maintain the original form even after when the silicon is melted and permeated therein, thereby not easily tearing when a brake is activated. As a result, the strength of the carbon-ceramic brake disk can be continuously maintained.</p>
