CARBON-CERAMIC BRAKE DISC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A carbon-ceramic brake disk and manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the durability in braking operation through maintaining the initial shape of pan-based carbon fiber even though being permeated by melted silicon. CONSTITUTION: A carbon-ceramic brake disk manufacturing method is as follows. Pan-based carbon fiber is coated by phenol resin(S11). The coated pan-based carbon fiber is carbonized in first temperature(S12). The carbonized pan-based carbon fiber and phenol resin are mixed into a mixture(S13). The mixture is inserted a mold and pressed into a molded product(S14). The molded product is carbonized in second temperature which equal to the first temperature or lower than the first temperature(S15). The carbonized molded product is worked mechanically(S16). Melted silicon is permeated into the worked molded product(S17). The worked molded product which permeated by melted silicon is polished(S18).
