PURPOSE: A catalyst for carbon monoxide selective oxidization and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the long term stability of the catalyst and to efficiently eliminate carbon monoxide. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a catalyst for carbon monoxide selective oxidization includes a process in which copper is carried in a ceria carrier of an octahedral crystalline structure. The carrying amount of the copper is 0.5 to 15 weight% based on the total weight of the catalyst. When the carbon monoxide selective oxidization is implemented under a temperature between 100 and 200 degrees Celsius, the conversion rate of carbon monoxide is more than or equal to 60%.
